    Taos Ski Valley

    This is one of North America's top ski resorts. Catering more to serious skiers, it features 110 runs, including some extreme vertical slopes, 12 lifts, a terrain park, ski school, and a resort center featuring restaurants, ski storage, rentals, repairs, a retail store and a medical clinic. Opening to snowboarders in 2008, Taos is no longer a skiing-only resort.

    Ski Cloudcroft

    Located three miles east of Cloudcroft, Ski Cloudcroft offers a range of winter activities, including downhill skiing, snowboarding and tubing. Ski runs are available to suit a variety of skill levels, and a restaurant and an equipment rental center are located on site.

    Pajarito Mountain Ski Area

    Pajarito Mountain is located just west of Los Alamos in the Jemez Mountains. It offers 280 acres of ski terrain, including tree skiing and bump skiing. The ski area is operated by the Los Alamos Ski Club, a not-for-profit organization.

    Sandia Peak Ski and Tramway

    Located only minutes from Albuquerque. Situated on the ski hill is a ski school, rental shop, cafe, grill and ski shop. They open in mid-December through to mid-March and open daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Transportation from the city can be made via the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway. At the top is the High Finance Restaurant, surrounded with great views.

    Elevated 9.600 feet, this resort offers great skiing. With ten chair lifts and one gondola there is no time-wasted waiting. Snowboarders are allowed to ski the entire ski area. There are two cafeterias located on the ski hill and two lodges. Beginners can receive lessons from the ski school, for both skiing and snowboarding. Located only eighteen miles from Ruidoso.
